Carbon structural steel
Standard specification for carbon structural steel used in riveted, bolted and welded construction.
Carbon Steel — Industrial Product
Cold drawn carbon steel bar supplied to ASTM A36 / EN 10060, bright drawn for precision machining and component production applications.
Overview
Bright Steel Bar combines low-carbon carbon steel with the surface quality and dimensional precision of cold drawing for reliable mechanical performance and consistent dimensional control. The smooth bright surface and tight tolerance make the bar suited to precision machining, turned components, shafts, pins, fasteners and general mechanical parts where surface finish matters. Supplied to ASTM A36 / EN 10060 with mill test certification per EN 10204 3.1, it supports global procurement for component manufacturing and engineering workshops.

FAQ
Most enquiries reduce to a small set of recurring technical questions.
Bright bar is cold-drawn or peeled / ground steel bar with a smooth, scale-free surface and tighter dimensional tolerance than hot-rolled black bar.
Bright bar is used for shafts, pins, fasteners, machine parts, axles and any application requiring close tolerance and good surface finish.
Round, square, flat and hexagonal. Round is the most common.
Standard cold-drawn tolerance h9 / h10 is available. Tighter h6 / h7 tolerance is available for ground bar.
Standard mill length 6 m. Cut-to-length to specification is available.
