General requirements for wire rods and coarse round wire
Standard specification for general requirements for wire rods and coarse round wire, carbon steel.
Carbon Steel — Industrial Product
Copper coated carbon steel wire supplied to ASTM A510 for grounding, conductivity and corrosion resistance applications.
Overview
Copper Coated Steel Wire combines low-carbon carbon steel with a uniform copper coating for reliable electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and consistent dimensional control. The copper layer supports soldering, grounding and signal transmission while the steel core delivers mechanical strength, making the wire suited to grounding conductors,通信 cables, chain link fencing, craft wire and general industrial applications. Supplied to ASTM A510 with mill test certification per EN 10204 3.1, it supports global procurement for electrical,通信 and fencing projects.

FAQ
Most enquiries reduce to a small set of recurring technical questions.
Copper-coated steel wire is a low-carbon steel wire with a thin copper coating applied by electrolytic deposition. It combines the strength of steel with the conductivity and corrosion resistance of copper.
Copper-coated wire is used for grounding conductors, messenger wire, signal wire, ACSR core wire, screening, braiding and welded mesh applications.
Standard coating is typically 0.254 mm (0.010 in) corresponding to ~10% by weight. Thinner coatings are available for cost-driven applications.
Common diameters 0.8 - 5.0 mm. Custom diameters and special tolerances can be supplied.
Coil, reel or spool form depending on diameter and end use. Wooden crate or seaworthy pallet packaging for export.
