Carbon structural steel
Standard specification for carbon structural steel used in riveted, bolted and welded construction.
Carbon Steel — Industrial Product
Hot rolled carbon steel plate supplied to ASTM A36 / EN 10025-2 for structural, fabrication and engineering applications.
Overview
Hot Rolled Steel Plate combines low-carbon carbon steel with the cost efficiency of hot rolling for reliable mechanical performance and consistent dimensional control. The mill finish and wide thickness range make the plate suited to building structures, bridge components, shipbuilding, storage tanks, machinery frames and general fabrication. Supplied to ASTM A36 / EN 10025-2 with mill test certification per EN 10204 3.1, it supports global procurement across construction, shipbuilding and general industrial supply chains.

FAQ
Most enquiries reduce to a small set of recurring technical questions.
Hot-rolled plate is produced by rolling steel slabs at elevated temperature above the recrystallization point. It is the most common form of structural plate.
Standard thickness 3 - 200 mm. Heavier gauges available on request.
Plate generally refers to thicker flat products (≥ 4.76 mm / 3/16 in), while sheet is thinner. The standards and tolerances differ accordingly.
Mill scale surface is standard for hot-rolled plate. Shot-blasted and primed (blast-and-prime) finish is available for fabrication.
Yes. Plasma, oxy-fuel, laser and waterjet cutting to drawing dimensions can be supplied. Edge preparation such as beveling is available.
