Austenitic stainless steel pipe
Seamless, straight-seam welded and heavily cold-worked welded austenitic stainless steel pipe.
Stainless Steel — Industrial Product
Austenitic 316 stainless steel pipe supplied to ASTM A312 / ASME SA312 with molybdenum for chloride-rich chemical and marine applications.
Overview
Stainless Steel Pipe 316 combines austenitic stainless steel with 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel and 2–3% molybdenum for reliable chloride resistance and consistent dimensional control. The molybdenum addition delivers enhanced pitting and crevice corrosion performance in chloride-rich environments, making the pipe suited to chemical processing, petrochemical plants, oil and gas service, marine engineering and pharmaceutical systems. Supplied to ASTM A312 / ASME SA312 with mill test certification per EN 10204 3.1, it supports global procurement for harsh-service projects.

FAQ
Most enquiries reduce to a small set of recurring technical questions.
316 stainless pipe (1.4401 / SUS316) is an austenitic grade with 2-3% molybdenum for improved resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion.
316 is preferred for marine, coastal, chemical processing, pharmaceutical and chloride-rich service where 304 is not adequate.
Yes. 316L (1.4404 / SUS316L) with carbon ≤ 0.03% is available for welded applications requiring maximum intergranular corrosion resistance.
Yes. 316 pipe is widely used for food, beverage, brewing, dairy and pharmaceutical equipment. Hygienic ID surface finishes are available.
Continuous service up to 925 °C is acceptable. Sustained 425 - 860 °C exposure should be avoided to prevent carbide precipitation.
