概要
Low Carbon Steel Wire combines low-carbon 1018 chemistry with cold drawing for reliable weldability, ductility and consistent dimensional control. The soft temper and uniform surface make the wire suited to general fabrication, cold forming, automotive components, mesh production, hangers and light industrial assembly. Supplied to ASTM A510 / EN 10218-2 with mill test certification per EN 10204 3.1, it supports global procurement for general industrial and consumer goods supply chains.

01 What is low-carbon steel wire?
Low-carbon steel wire (1018 / 1.0038 / S235JR equivalent) contains 0.05 - 0.25% carbon for excellent formability, weldability and ductility.
02 What is low-carbon wire used for?
Low-carbon wire is used for general-purpose binding, nails, fencing, mesh, hangers, formed wire parts, brush backing and construction applications.
03 What surface finishes are available?
Bright (clean), annealed, phosphate-coated, soap-drawn, galvanized and oiled finishes are available.
04 What diameters are available?
Common diameters range from 0.5 mm to 8.0 mm. Custom diameters can be supplied.
05 Is welding possible?
Yes. Low-carbon wire offers excellent weldability. For structural welding, MIG / TIG using appropriate low-carbon filler is recommended.
