Aluminum and aluminum alloys - Extruded precision profiles
European reference for tolerances on dimensions and form of extruded precision profiles in alloys EN AW-6060 and EN AW-6063.
Aluminum Alloy — Industrial Product
6063 aluminum extrusions and profiles supplied to EN 12020-2 / ASTM B221 for machinery, equipment, fabrication and selected structural applications.
Overview
6063 Aluminum Extrusions & Profiles combine a magnesium-silicon 6xxx aluminum alloy with controlled billet extrusion for consistent dimensional control, good surface response and reliable mechanical performance. The alloy accepts mill, anodized, powder-coated, brushed and polished finishes, making the profile suited to machinery frames, equipment enclosures, solar mounting structures, electrical and electronic assemblies, automotive components, light structural framing and general industrial fabrication. Supplied to EN 12020-2 / ASTM B221 with mill test certification per EN 10204 3.1, profiles are sourced to specification across a range of standard and custom cross-sections, with section geometry, wall thickness and length configurable to project requirements.

FAQ
Most enquiries reduce to a small set of recurring technical questions.
6063 (EN AW-6063 / AlMg0.7Si) is a magnesium-silicon 6xxx aluminum alloy widely used for extruded profiles. It offers good formability, good corrosion resistance and an excellent surface response for anodizing, making it a standard choice for architectural, industrial and equipment framing applications.
Standard sections include round, square, rectangular, flat, T-slot, U-channel, angle and structural profiles. Custom cross-sections are available subject to die design and minimum order quantity.
Mill finish is standard. Anodizing (clear or colored), powder coating, brushed and polished finishes are available on request.
Standard mill length up to 6 m. Cut-to-length and machined end conditions are available on request.
6063 is widely used for light structural framing, equipment supports and industrial enclosures. For higher-strength structural requirements, 6061 or 6082 are typical alternatives.
