Brushed Steel Pipe combines austenitic 304 chemistry with a directional brushed surface for reliable corrosion resistance and a refined decorative appearance. The brushed finish softens reflections, masks minor surface marks and delivers consistent dimensional accuracy, making the pipe suited to architectural handrails, decorative structures, kitchen equipment, display systems and modern interior design. 01 What is brushed stainless pipe?
Brushed stainless pipe has a directional satin finish on the OD, typically No.4 (150 - 180 grit), produced by mechanical abrasive polishing. ID finish remains standard mill or pickled.
02 Is brushed pipe suitable for outdoor architectural use?
Yes. Brushed 304 / 316 pipe is widely used for handrails, balustrades, decorative columns and architectural trim. For marine exposure, 316 is preferred.
03 Can brushed pipe be supplied in seamless and welded construction?
Yes. Brushed finish can be applied to both seamless (ASTM A312) and welded (ASTM A778 / A249) stainless pipe constructions.
04 What is the typical diameter range?
Brushed pipe is commonly supplied in NPS 1/2 to NPS 12 (DN15 - DN300). Larger diameters can be supplied on request.
05 What packaging protects the brushed surface?
Individual PE sleeve over each pipe length, with end caps and seaworthy wooden crate or steel frame packaging for export.
