The absence of a weld seam delivers superior pressure-bearing capacity and fatigue resistance, making the pipe suited to oil and gas transmission, petrochemical plants, boiler systems, high-pressure fluid lines and structural service under demanding loads. 01 What is seamless carbon steel pipe?
Seamless carbon pipe is produced by piercing a solid billet at high temperature. It has no weld seam, providing uniform strength and superior pressure-bearing capability.
02 What is the difference between A106 and A53 seamless?
A106 seamless pipe is intended for high-temperature service; A53 seamless pipe is intended for general lower-temperature pressure and mechanical service.
03 Is seamless pipe suitable for high-pressure service?
Yes. Seamless pipe is preferred for high-pressure and high-temperature applications such as boiler, superheater and refinery service.
04 Can seamless pipe be hot-dip galvanized?
Yes. Hot-dip galvanizing to ASTM A53 is available. Internal galvanizing is generally not performed on seamless construction.
05 What end preparations are available?
Plain end, beveled end (30°), threaded and coupled, and grooved end preparations are available. Custom end prep can be arranged.
